Almost There!

It has been a long day of traveling but we are almost there. As I write, we are on the last leg of our 22 hour journey to Israel. Right now we are sitting at the Lufthansa gate in Frankfurt. I am so thankful for the support of my family at home for pulling together and learning the ropes regarding “household management” and “caregiving”. The Lord has been good to provide every need for Bob and me to venture out on this amazing journey. As I have prayed over the various elements of our travel this week, I have sensed that the Lord is lavishing us with a wonderful blessing by taking us to “His” hometown and showing us around the sights of “HisStory”. I expect that I will be forever changed.

We have united with about 30 other Western Seminary Students from the Portland and Sacramento campuses. Some, I have enjoyed getting to know in my classes, but others are new faces. We are all too tired now to spend much effort getting to know each other very personally, but I am sure we will all be fast friends at the end of our three weeks together. šŸ™‚

I will share more after we set foot in the “land of milk and honey” and get some much needed sleep! Until then….Zzzzzz.

  1. Happy Mother’s Day Mary Ann!!! I am so excited to follow along on this adventure. Marissa arrived home for 22 hours and then headed off for a sailing trip in the BVI. I as sure she will have a wonderful relaxing time. We will check in on the boys. Weather is gorgeous here and I spent the day gardening. Hello to Bob and safe travels. I love you guys!!!

  2. Oh my dear friend…. I will pretend I am your shadow… and will love to hear about your trip if you post.
Are you with John Johnson…….???? He is our favorite pastor… He has been incredible to Greg and me…. I just did a women’s retreat for this church….. awesome women.

I heard he was going… and hoping that he is on the same trip.
He also is very close to Terry Cook…. they go to Lebanon together….
His heart is huge for ministry… the real deal.

I am praying the Lord puts really tall Angels around you and Bob……
may you come home transformed….. as God deposits His eyes into yours.

    Bonnie

  3. One hardship that Paul probably did not experience on his journeys was jet lag. May you conquer yours quickly!

  4. We look forward to traveling vicariously through the Holy Land with you! A trip of a lifetime!
